The goal was easy to assemble however the bolts connecting the backboard to the supports were too short so I had to purchase longer bolts at hardware store. Also, the bracket to the pole moves slightly even after tightening so I added rubber band to inside of bracket to keep entire goal from moving on pole.
I would have given this product 5 stars but I had issues with the assembly instructions. The product itself is very well made and good looking. Not sure how the metal hoop will hold up over time out in the Florida weather. Regarding assembly, rather than leaving the attachment of the hoop to the backboard as the last step (and requiring two people), it made much more sense to attach the hoop to the backboard (with the arm already attached) and then slide the arm onto the post. In other words, switch the order and put Step 4 before Step 3 in the instructions. Free shipping was nice. I ordered an extra basketball so more than one person can shoot hoops at the same time. Great that the backboard can adjust vertically and turned around the post for perfect positioning.
I’ve had this hoop set up for three years now at poolside and it’s as good as the day I purchased it. Very sturdy, but word of advice, don’t get the clear backboard. It won’t stay clear for long and is not nearly as durable.
packaged well and assembly was very smooth. It has held up for a couple weekends of play so only time will tell if it lasts year round (central FL)
