The hoop is very easy to assemble and is pretty sturdy. It is a bit of an eye-sore and the backboard is pretty useless. The ball slides off of it instead of bouncing. As soon as I put it together I contacted customer support to swap it out for the more expensive clear backboard unit, but they never responded, which was disappointing. I would buy the clear backboard, not this one.
