High-quality pool stools (like ours) are safe for vinyl liner pools when designed with smooth, rounded soft bases or protective feet. The best option that tackles vinyl liner pools and sloped pool floors are soft-tipped leveling feet. It’s important to use stools specifically designed for pool use to avoid liner damage or punctures.

Typically, pool stools are used in water from 2.5 - 4.5 feet deep. We carry two sizes to accommodate almost every pool depth where seating would be needed:

• 24" Pool Stool: optimal water depth of 28 inches to 46 inches.
• 30" Pool Stool: optimal water depth of 36 inches to 53 inches.

Quality pool stools can stay submerged year round in warmer climates, assuming the resin is made from UV-resistant materials like ours. To prolong the life of your pool stool, if you live in colder climates you may want to remove it during winter to extend lifespan.

Weighted pool stools are more stable and stay in place underwater, making them ideal for swim-up bars, in-pool seating areas, and social zones. Regular pool chairs are not designed for submersion and will float or tip over.
