Using Water and Backyard Volleyball Nets Interchangeably
As the weather begins to heat up outside, you may be thinking about spending more time in the pool. If you love to play volleyball in the backyard, then it only makes sense to transition your game to a water volleyball match in the swimming pool. After all, this is a great way to enjoy a different side of the game while also getting some exercise. It will also help you remain cool if you can play volleyball while in the swimming pool. At the same time, do you need to have a specific net for a water volleyball? Can you use the same net for pool volleyball as the one you use in your backyard? There are several essential points to keep in mind.
Go With a Pool Volleyball Unit
First, understand that they do make volleyball nets that you can use interchangeably. For example, you may be able to use your water volleyball net in the backyard; however, this is not usually the case. The vast majority of nets used in volleyball have been specifically made for the pool or the backyard. Therefore, take a closer look at the volleyball net you are using. Make sure it has been designed specifically for your purpose. If you would like to play volleyball in the pool, you need to find an effort has been made for this purpose. Why is this the case?
The Height Issue Is Significant In Water Volleyball vs. Backyard Volleyball
One of the biggest reasons you need to go with a volleyball net explicitly made for the pool is the height of the net itself. Usually, the bottom of the net use in pool volleyball only sits a few inches off the ground. That is because you are going to be in the pool, standing beneath ground level. In contrast, if you play pool volleyball in the backyard, the net could be several feet off the ground. If you have a net that is several feet off the ground in the pool, you are going to have a very difficult time getting the ball over the net. Height is the biggest reason you need to go with a specially constructed pool volleyball set.
Thinking About the Durability Concerns For Pool Volleyball
In addition, you also have to think about the durability of the net. In most cases, the net in volleyball is explicitly made to withstand the water. Water is a corrosive substance. It will eventually cut through a lot of materials. If you try to use your backyard volleyball net in the pool, the water may degrade the volleyball net more quickly. This is another reason you need to go with a net made specifically for the pool. Make sure you get as much use out of your net as possible.
What About the Volleyball?
Finally, you also have to think about the ball. Fortunately, a lot of balls used in volleyball can transition easily between the water and the pool. At the same time, if you would like to get as much use out of your volleyball as possible, you should go with a ball that has been designed specifically for the pool. That way, you do not have to worry about your ball wearing out too quickly. If you are looking for the best equipment for water volleyball, you can take a look at the selection from Dunn Rite.

An Overview: Water Volleyball Basics
If you are looking for a fun game to play in the water this year, you may want to take a closer look at water volleyball. Water volleyball is a great way to spend time with family members and friends while also getting some exercise. At the same time, you may not play water volleyball that often. As a result, you may not be familiar with the rules. If you would like to learn how to play
water volleyball, it’s a good idea to start with the basics. What are a few rules you have to know to play water volleyball?Water Volleyball Gameplay: Scoring Each Point
Water volleyball is a game that is played one point at a time. One team is responsible for serving the ball to the other team. The team that is serving has one strike to get the ball over the net. The ball has to land inbounds. If the ball lands out of bounds, the other team gets the point.
If the receiving team can field the ball in bounds, they can hit it amongst themselves for a total of three hits. On the third strike, the ball has to go back over the net. If the ball does not go back over the net on the third strike, the other team automatically gets the point.
The point continues until the ball either lands in inbounds where the other team cannot get it, for the ball lands out of bounds. If the ball lands inbounds and the other team does not knock it back over, the team that struck the ball gets the point. If the ball lands out of bounds, the team that hits the ball out of bounds loses the point.Water Volleyball: Who Serves?
How do you decide which player on your team is responsible for serving? On your first service, you can choose who you want to serve the ball. After that, you rotate the serving player clockwise. The player that serves the volleyball is allowed to keep serving until their team loses the point. Then, the serve passes to the opposing team. When service returns to the other team, that team rotates all positions clockwise. That is how you decide which player on your team is responsible for serving the volleyball.Get the Volleyball Over the Net
By your third strike, the ball has to get over the net and land inbounds on the other side. You do not have to wait until the third strike in order to get the ball over the net. Importantly, you are not allowed to touch the net. For example, you cannot pull the net down in order to make it easier to get the ball over the net. If you touch the net, the other team automatically wins the point. That point is over.Water Volleyball Scoring
A single point is tallied after every play, meaning that even if one team serves the ball out of bounds, the other team gets the point. You can score every game to whatever you want; however, most water volleyball games are scored to either 11, 15, or 25 points. In most cases, you have to win the game by two. Most people play every match to the best out of three games; however, you do have a lot of leeway regarding how you would like to score it. Feel free to modify these rules to make them more applicable to your time constraints. The Best Water Volleyball Equipment
If you are thinking about playing water volleyball, you have to make sure you have the best equipment available. If you are looking for high-quality water volleyball equipment, take a look at the pool volleyball units from Dunn Rite. For example, you may want to consider the
DeckVolly Water Volleyball Unit. Another great option is the Provolly pool volleyball set. Do not hesitate to reach out to the professionals for assistance. Rely on the equipment from DunnRite for your next water volleyball match!

Best Fencing Options For Around The Swimming Pool
If you own a swimming pool, you need to place safety first. In addition to thinking about safety on the pool deck, you also have to think about safety around the pool deck. That means investing in a solid fence. First, understand that there is a good chance having a fence around your pool is probably required by law. Your swimming pool should have a fence on all four sides. If there is a gate in your fence, the gate should automatically close after someone walks through it. There are several reasons why you should invest in a pool fence. These include:
You can keep unwanted people out of your pool.
You can prevent people from unwittingly wandering onto your property, falling into the swimming pool.
You can significantly reduce the chances of someone drowning in your pool.
There are lots of options available for pool fencing, depending on your budget and style. What should you look for in a pool fence?
What To Look For in a Great Pool Fence
Some important factors that you should consider in your pool fence include:
Safety First: Obviously, this is the most crucial factor. Typical backyard fences are designed to keep pets in place. Some backyard fences simply serve an ornamental purpose. Your pool fence needs to keep people out, especially children, who may wander into the pool unintentionally.
Compliance with Regulations: You should also make sure your swimming pool fence is compliant with local regulations. Typically, pool fences have to be at least four feet tall. They also have to have a gate that will close and latch on its own. The specifications on pool fence regulations can vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Make sure you redo your guidelines.
Privacy: Finally, swimming pools are an attractive feature. A lot of people are going to have their attention drawn to the beautiful deck and blue water. If you do not want people watching you while you sunbathe, you should invest in a privacy fence.
These are a few of the criteria you should consider if you are looking for a pool fence. What are the specific options available?
Categories of Pool Fences
First, you can separate your pool fences into two separate categories. The first category is a perimeter fence. A perimeter fence encloses the entirety of your yard. Usually, this fence will follow your property line. A perimeter fence is a backyard fence that doubles as a safety barrier for your swimming pool. You will simply apply the criteria for a pool fence to your backyard fence.
The other category is called an interior fence. This is a pool fence that's within your yard. It encloses a smaller area, including your swimming pool. If you have small children, this is the type of fence that you want. It allows children to run around in the backyard without unknowingly wandering into the swimming pool.
Material Choices for Your Swimming Pool Fence
Now, it is time to take a closer look at material choices for your swimming pool fence. Some choices include:
Wood is one of the most popular choices. They are attractive, provide privacy, and come in numerous colors. On the other hand, a wood fence does require extra maintenance. Keep in mind if the wood gets wet and does not dry quickly, it may grow mold.
PVC and Vinyl: These two options usually go together because they do not require any maintenance. Furthermore, they can get wet without growing any mold. If you are going to spend more time in the pool and less time sunbathing, this may be a good option. It does not provide the same level of privacy.
Posts or Panels: Finally, you have to decide between posts and panels for your fence. If you want to see outside the pool area, you want posts. If you want to protect your privacy, you want panels.
Think about these options if you are looking for a pool fence.
