The rim on the Splash & Shoot adjusts from 29" to 53" above the deck, so kids and adults can play on the same hoop. The 41" × 28" clear acrylic backboard keeps your view of the pool open, and a regulation-size basketball is included.

Does it come with a ball?
Yes. Every Dunn-Rite pool basketball hoop comes with a waterproof basketball, so there's nothing extra to buy.

Do I need to drill into my pool deck to install the Splash & Shoot?
No. It's a portable hoop: you fill the base with water and set it at the pool's edge. Filled, the base weighs about 200 lb, which keeps it stable during normal play. Drain it to move or store the hoop.

How high does the rim adjust?
The 18" stainless steel rim adjusts from 29" to 53" above the pool deck, so younger kids and adults can play on the same hoop.

Will it work with a saltwater pool?
Yes. The post is powder-coated aluminum, the rim is vinyl-coated stainless steel and all hardware is stainless steel or brass, so it's built to resist corrosion from salt, chlorine, sun and rain.

What if my pool deck slopes toward the pool?
Customers with a raised or tapered pool edge level the base by placing a shim, such as a 2×4, under the back of the base.

How big is the base and backboard?
The base measures 40" wide × 24" deep × 10" tall. The clear, UV-protected backboard is 41" wide × 28" tall.

What's the difference between Splash & Shoot and Splash & Slam?
Splash & Shoot has a 200 lb base and a 29"–53" rim range, at $414.95. Splash & Slam is Dunn-Rite's largest water-filled hoop, with a 500 lb base, a bigger 44" × 30" backboard and a rim that adjusts from 2 to 6 feet, at $1,149. Choose Splash & Slam for older teens and adults who dunk hard; choose Splash & Shoot for most families.

Is it made in the USA? What's the warranty?
Yes. It's made in Elwood, Indiana, by Dunn-Rite Products, a third-generation family-owned company making pool games since 1983. It carries a 3-year manufacturer's warranty.

Can I use it with an above-ground pool?
No. Dunn-Rite doesn't recommend the Splash & Shoot for above-ground pools. It's designed to sit on the deck beside an inground pool. For an above-ground pool, we recommend the PoolSport, or Clear Shot  which work when placed on a stable, level platform beside the pool.

Glad I bought it

I've shopped these hoops for 4 years, found nothing but VERY expensive options and/or vastly mixed reviews everywhere. Honestly the price attracted me at first, and then the regulation-sized rim was another indicator that this was a quality product. In sum, I am so glad I finally found this one. First of all, it's sturdy and looks really nice in our backyard. That was surprising because honestly the color combination doesn't look great in the pictures. In person it looks very high quality, almost "expensive" looking. That was not the goal, but it was a nice surprise. Assembly took less than an hour from unboxing until the kids were playing on it - and I am NOT a handy man. I have a very simple wrench set, and once I found the right size, it was very easy to put together with a couple extra hands (kids) helping me hold things in place. I honestly couldn't be happier with the purchase.

Saw a couple reviews that said their's is not secured tightly with the existing bolts. Was not the case for us. I even screwed up and assembled it with the rim maybe an inch or two off-center (it was at night and looked straight to me) - at this point, I'm afraid of loosening the bolts and recentering - because after 3 long uses, with the kids, and at least 500 shots so far, it hasn't moved an inch. Really really sturdy, kids are very happy, GREAT value, and the wife is pleasantly surprised - thanks Dunnrite.

My second purchase of this item..thought for the price ( expensive) there could have been a better thicker rim( thought my first purchase had a thicker sturdier one) and the net is ridiculously cheap and continually flipping catching the net hooks(annoying to get unhooked).Just had to order a non flip net at my expense.It is family fun,that’s why I purchased it for the second time.That being said it was easy to assemble.

Nice goal but has a flaw

I looked at a bunch of basketball goals for our pool before landing on picking this one. It’s expensive but should last a long time. Only issue I have is the clear backboard was not properly glued to the surrounding. It was only hanging on by the bottom right corner when unboxed. I’ve since super glued it but in just 2 weeks of use it has come apart again. I’m afraid this won’t last as I expected it would. I’m not sure why the backboard wasn’t secured better, because if you don’t have a backboard then what’s the point of basketball goal. The base is great and hasnt tipped over but not sure the price equals the quality you receive. If the backboard was secured or even stayed secured this would be a great product.

Edit Aug 5th:
The company reached out to me and corrected this issue I was having. I should have reached out to them first before writing review to give them the chance to correct it. They sent new backboard that was corrected sealed to frame and it’s causing any issues now. I’ve had it for almost 3 weeks now and used almost everyday. This product is worth buying if looking for a quality basketball goal. Updated review from 3 stars to 5 stars. This is a company I would do business with in the future, they take care of their customers.

Fast. Professional. Quality.

I received my pool basketball hoop via online shipment in two days. I couldn’t believe it. I assembled the hoop pretty quickly—30 minutes or so. I overtightened the back bracket and cracked it so be careful. They replaced the arm and again I received it extremely fast. The product is quality, regardless of my mistake. Definitely a solid company.
