The Dunn-Rite Pool Sport Portable Pool Basketball Hoop (B950) features a color-matched ball, 13.5" stainless steel rim (36" height) and a solid 31"W x 22"H poly backboard that overhangs the water. The pedestal of this Dunn-Rite pool basketball hoop extends the rim out over the water so players do not have to get so close to the pool's edge. All hardware is stainless steel to make it durable enough to withstand consistent use. This swimming pool basketball hoop has a base that weighs 115 lbs. when filled with water to help keep it firmly in place. The rim is vinyl coated stainless steel that measures 13.5". I bought this hoop this summer for my son, turned out it was more for my brother-in-law and I. The height is perfect to use anywhere around the pool and the overhang of the rim was just enough to prevent the ball from going onto the coping or out of the pool completely. The product was very sturdy as well as heavy, I made the mistake of filling it up a good distance from the pool and carrying/dragging it to the pool was quite a trip. Ball is your standard rubber outdoor ball, so I advise not leaving it outside or in the pool all summer long, it holds air well, no knots, and not misshaped in anyway. Assembly and filling, very quick and self explanatory, the fill plug is hard rubber and does its job. The hardware for the rim are metal with plastic coated wing nuts (4), and hold long enough. If you desire you could use Loctite or something to keep the wing nuts from backing off, they don't immediately come loose but after a days worth of play you may have to snug them up, not at all a big deal! Overall the family and I thoroughly enjoyed the hoop and seems to me this will last quite a while! I highly recommend this hoop, its simple, good quality, and a great price!

I saw this item online and it was going for about $140-150. When I saw it for $105 I jumped at it and I'm glad I did. This item is built sturdy, the backboard is solid and plays true. The rim is strong and of great quality. We shoot around when just the 2 of us are in the pool, but we had a little 3 on 3 game the other day and this provided lots of entertainment and a workout! The only drawback, which is not the products fault is when you miss a shot or the ball goes off the backboard it rolls out of play and you have to keep getting out the pool to retrieve the ball. We solved that problem by putting up the child proof enclosure just around the areas behind the unit and it kicks the ball back perfectly! This item is awesome and for the price, you'll love the fun it provides. I strongly suggest this item for your pool parties!

"Excellent basketball goal"

This newer model uses stainless parts. We bought extra balls and the kids absolutely love this goal. We've had a few months now and I have a saltwater pool.. So far no issues. If I ever get any rust, (which i doubt i will), its super easy to pull the goal off and sand and paint the rim.. Hopefully, it never comes to that. The screw wing nuts do walk their way out after use, but just put some plumbers Teflon tape (pipe thread tape) on them and it fixes them right away. I'm going to buy another one for a friends pool as a gift.
